Bharadsar Lake Trek Experiences
The Bharadsar Lake Trek is a beautiful and lesser-known trekking route located in the Dhauladhar range of Himachal Pradesh, near Dharamshala. Surrounded by majestic mountains, lush alpine meadows, and peaceful valleys, the trek leads to the stunning Bharadsar Lake, a high-altitude glacial lake known for its crystal-clear water and untouched natural beauty.
The trek usually begins from Kareri Village, a charming Himalayan village that serves as the starting point for many treks in the Dhauladhar region. As you move along the trail, you pass through dense pine forests, scenic valleys, and mountain streams. The path gradually ascends through alpine meadows offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks.
The highlight of the trek is reaching Bharadsar Lake, located at an altitude of around 13,500 ft. The lake is fed by melting glaciers from the Dhauladhar mountains and is considered sacred by locals. The peaceful environment, combined with dramatic mountain views, makes this trek a truly rewarding experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
The Bharadsar Lake Trek is generally considered moderate to difficult, making it suitable for trekkers with good physical fitness and some prior trekking experience.
