Tarsar Marsar Trek
The Tarsar Marsar Trek is one of the most beautiful alpine lake treks in the Kashmir Himalayas. Known for its stunning landscapes, lush green meadows, snow-covered peaks, and crystal-clear alpine lakes, this trek offers a perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty. The trek takes you through breathtaking valleys where you can witness untouched Himalayan wilderness and traditional Kashmiri landscapes.
The journey usually begins from Aru Valley near Pahalgam, one of the most scenic starting points in Kashmir. As trekkers move along the trail, they pass through dense pine forests, wide grasslands, and peaceful streams flowing through the valleys. The path gradually climbs towards the magnificent Tarsar Lake, which lies at an altitude of around 12,400 ft. The lake is surrounded by majestic mountains and reflects the sky and surrounding peaks, creating a magical view.
Another highlight of the trek is Marsar Lake, a mysterious and beautiful alpine lake that often remains partly hidden under mist and clouds. The peaceful environment, vibrant wildflowers, and dramatic mountain scenery make the Tarsar Marsar Trek a dream destination for trekkers and nature lovers.
